| Re: Dutch Springs Sat May 31 FYI for the locals. I was called early monday morning and told that the Venture III is not CCR friendly (OC and SCR only).Sucks being all loaded and ready to go, then find out your going to work instead. Hope they change their policy some day. Tony Yeah, Paul is still living in 1968. Funny that he'll allow arguably less safe SCC rigs but not safer CCR's. His loss. Then again... he only goes to lobster snags, so no biggie. It's hard to get excited about wooden barges. Dave

| Re: Dutch Springs Sat May 31 oh well, didn't catch the update with details so didn't see any of you guys down at Dutch. Shame, I haven't had a chance to look at a rEvo yet. Still, I had a newly-qualified novice with me so it was just platform stuff anyway. Peninsula's best for that. Next time! |

| Re: Dutch Springs Sat May 31 Karen I'm not sure what their policy was last year. But I was told that Paul himself said OC or SCC only, they're insurance does not cover CCR. I found it odd because I spoke with the guy putting the trip together the night before and he said himself that he's been on the boat with Rebreather divers before and didn't care what I was diving, so maybe it's change this year. ![]() Dave for me it's about quantity not quality at this point. Anything has to be better then the fire engine and cabin cruiser though. ![]() Hope to start hitting some quality spots by the fall. Tony

And Dutch is a relatively benign environment - no concerns over current, for example. We'll be there a lot the early part of this season. Boat dives come later, when we feel ready, and can honestly say that we are to the Captain. -- Art |
