| RBW Member Current Rebreather/s: | Travelling With Sorb UK to Egypt Ok, I am after peoples experiences with travelling with sorb. I currently have two 4.5kg (sealed) tubs of sorb I am going to put in the misses bag, but this leaves me 3Kg short for the week, would I get away with putting it in a small sealed container with the material data sheets and possibly some pictures of its use or am I best biting the bullet and buying the extra over there? What have your experiences been travelling with lime, and problems uk end? Cheers Ferg |

| Re: Travelling With Sorb UK to Egypt Depends on the airline but I wouldnt put it in hand luggage, nine times out of ten they will confiscate it. Put it in the hold luggage in sealed tubs and dont go over the weight allownace for your particular airline. Might be worth checking with them to see if you can buy an extra luggage pack (if you need it), for instance Thomsonfly do a "divers pack" where for 60 quid they will allow you another bag of 20kgs, maybe 30kgs if you are lucky. Remeber ANY bag over 32kgs will not be allowed on the plane regardless of weight allowance as its against baggage handlers insurance to lift it HTH Dave |
