Please keep in mind that to reduce diver impact on wrecks in the area it is requested that people not do things like grab the handles on the wheel.

Marv,Great point. If you take a closer look the diver in the picture is not grabbing the wheel but mearly brushing off one of the brass caps with his forefinger. There's lots of good stuff to see in this area however there are a lot artifacts that have gone missing in the last 3 years. It really is sad. I'm hoping some of these show up in the new NOAA museum. -Jeff |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Northern Michigan Diving in July Had some great dives with Steve last weekend. Barney (see below) and Northwestern on Saturday and Johnson on Sunday. Water temp was 40F on the bottom and it didn't warm up to 45F until 10 feet. I wouldn't expect low 70's in July, maybe late August or September. The low drag, form fitting custom cover on that BMR500 looks **REALLY** familiar. -Jeff Does Phil no longer own it?Ken

Does Phil no longer own it?Ken It should look familar, that is none other than Phil himself diving a highly modified version of your highly modified BMR500. I was holding the camera that day (needs work, I know). Phil and I have done some great dives together with him on that unit. It's 100% manual now but Phil has made it his own. Some very non traditional ideas that have worked out great (reverse loop, water trap, switchable adv for diluent or O2 - makes ascent and deco very nice in manual mode = hands free). I wish you had made second one to sell me! Phil is actaully talking about making it even smaller but I don't have all of the details. -Jeff |
