![]() | Truk trip - 2nd week suggestions please? Nine of us are have booked the recently revamped Thorfinn for a week's diving next Feb09 travelling from London. Mixture of CCR and OC. It's a long way to travel for a single week so we are thinking of either stopping over on the way or doing a second week shore-based in Chuuk. Has anyone got any suggestions / experiences / recommendations? - Is the diving in Chuuk good enough for a 2nd week or will we see most of it in the first week? - Best route / stopover for R&R? - Recommendations for best shorebased operator / hotel in Chuuk many thanks |

![]() ![]() | Re: Truk trip - 2nd week suggestions please? I was onboard the Thorfinn last January just before her little mishap with a reef. She is a awesome no frills liveaboard with everything you will need. What are they doing specifically for the breather divers? The wreck diving in Chuuk is fantastic and some of if not the best in the world. There are so many wrecks there that you could spend a whole week just exploring one wreck. I would suggest if you are going to be there for 2 weeks than take your time to explore each wreck a few times. You just want to make sure that the dive guides know you plan on doing extended dives before you arrive so they are ready for you. The Blue Lagoon resort seems to be the better of the resorts for land based diving. Cheers John
