How about a rebreather centered charter with Bandito Charters on the south end of Lopez Island? Tentatively July 12, but that date will depend on availability. I am thinking the west end of Long Island and another, less current sensitive site.

How much interest is there from Pacific Northwest Rebreather World members? I am looking for a rough head count to see if we have a quorum before I call Bandito.

Sounds like a great idea. I would be interested, especially if we can do a Dawn's Bottom, although I'm not sure about July 12th. The end of July and August look better for me.

I was thinking Dawn's Bottom. The currents look good on the 12th but you can almost always work something out.

steve, great idea, thanks for rallying the troops! elizabeth and I are interested. doing dives that can't be done by shore and extended bottom time, say 90 minutes, would be a big plus.

I have reserved August 10 for 2 dives around Long Island. The boat was either reserved or the current timing was bad in July.

The best bits of Dawn's Bottom are at 120-140 feet, and you can go deeper. The second dive is not current sensitive and is shallower.

Schedule:
Leave Friday Harbor at Noon. (You will have to take a ferry from Anacortes to get to Friday Harbor.)
Dive Dawn's Bottom at about 2:00pm
Second Dive is Pirates Cove and is not so current sensitive.

Maximum 12 rebreather divers.

Boat cost is $850 for the day, Bandito is holding the spot for us for a few days. I will secure it if I think we can scare up 10 of us. Please add your name to the list below if you want to go.

So, 10 of us means 85$ each, right? (I went to public school- gotta ask questions like that to be sure) If so, count me in. I bet I can get old man Rawlings to go, too, if his meds are all ballanced, and they aren't serving his favorite lime jello in the cafeteria that day.....
