Diving in St Lucia?

Hi,

Has anyone dived in St Lucia - What's it like? Any recommendations on dive operators and sites to check out?

I have been a few times. Diving is typical Carib very good but not great. Plenty of reef life but no big pelagics, turtles are common. Dived with Scuba St. Lucia. Where are you staying?

Staying at the St Lucian Rex resort. Not sure if they have a dive ctr on site - did not see anything on the hotel web site.

I met a native St. Lucian during one of my trips that was the diving sirector for Sandals back then. I bumped into him at DEMA last year and he told me he has opened a new dive operation in St Lucia but I dont have the name. His name is Donovan Brown you might try googling him and see what comes up.

The best dives are near the Pitons, my favorite was one called the pinnacles, supermans flight is good too.

We found the best diving south of St. Lucia about a hour boat ride. We had a 3 week sailboat charter so I can not help you on a Resort or dive shop. There was one site called Superman and another called Blue Pinnacle near St. Lucia that were nice.
