I have had a couple of enquiries for partners/wives who want to come along and I have emailled Andy to see if I can get us a better deal for them if they are not diving. If they are then they pay like the rest of us...... Regards, Lance

| RBW Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Philippines CCR Wreck Diving October 2008 I have just had an email from Matt Partridge from tecdivertraining and he has told me he is happy to conduct training whilst at Coron Bay. You can get in touch with him directly to discuss details and will be a great opportunity to get some training done whilst there. Regards, Lance

| Re: Philippines CCR Wreck Diving October 2008 Guys, Have a great trip - a group of us dived Coron probably 9-10 years ago, the diving was fantastic. Vis could sometimes be a bit lower than expected at 5m. We were all single tank OC in those days and managed to squeeze through the prop shafts on many occassions and most of the time all the way to very near the bows before exiting. A word of caution - we did not realise a 'curfew' was in place - no noise after 10 PM - on our last night we ran into a lot of trouble singing 'New York, New York' at 2am while walking up the hill to the huts - and I mean a lot of trouble - the locals throw rocks first and ask questions later, the local flip flop wearing police carry M16s etc - show respect to the locals and you will have a great time !! Cheers.

| RBW Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Philippines CCR Wreck Diving October 2008 I have heard back from Andy about bringing non-divers along and he says it's not a problem and there should be something to keep them occupied whilst we are out diving....or they can always come along for a boat ride. Cost....The same as everyone else so if you are thinking of bringing a non-diver along can you please either PM or email me with their name etc or add it to the comments section of the form if you haven't sent it back yet. Last year when we were up there we had a couple of wild nights without any reprisals from the locals.....Maybe they have got used to us Westerners ![]() Regards, Lance

| Re: Philippines CCR Wreck Diving October 2008 form if you haven't sent it back yet. Last year when we were up there we had a couple of wild nights without any reprisals from the locals.....Maybe they have got used to us Westerners ![]() Years ago there used to be a Karaoke bar up on the hill behind the town (lomg since closed). Me and a buddy stumbled upon it one night - and literally 'broke' every girl in there. The deal was you sit down and the girls poor your drinks and help themselves to shots. They clearly wasn't used to generous customers who could drink so much and they all ended up hammered. By the end of the night there was me, my buddy and the owner sat outside drinking his last bottle of Gin with him apologizing profusely for the fact all 11 of his 'girls' were currently either vomiting or unconscious! There was bodies laying all over the place. He tried to sell us the place (USD25K IIRC) and was well into extolling the virtues of one of the young girls (who had just been dropped on her head, literally, and we weren't sure if she was drunk or suffering from concussion) saying that despite her comatose state she's is in fact a good girl and would make a good wife. She looked to me to be about 15 years old - max! Apparently he liked us and was only suggesting one of us marry her because we were clearly 'good men' seeing as we hadn't tried to molest any of his girls...the fact that they all looked pre-pubescent didn't seam to factor in his mind as being the overriding reason we hadn't!! That bar is long since closed and was the only bar we ever found even remotely like it. I think you will find the night life quiet and pleasant (no girlie bars/slappers) One word of warning a few years ago there was an 'incident' one night involving some locals and tourists. But you get bad eggs everywhere. I wouldn't let it put dampeners on things - just apply normal common sense when out late at night. Don't wander off alone flashing money around. ![]()

| RBW Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Philippines CCR Wreck Diving October 2008 Hey Guys, A reminder for those of you considering coming along to put your name down and secure a spot. So far we have around 10 coming and there are a few guys bringing their partners, so if you have the park brake applied then you now have no excuse as you can bring her too!! I have a few extra spots on hold for us and can't hold them for a lot longer. Lance

| RBW Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Philippines CCR Wreck Diving October 2008 I have been getting the occasional enquiry asking if there are any spots available. The answer is YES, there are still a few but they are going quickly so don't leave it too long if you're considering coming. At the moment there are 8 CCR divers coming. There are be 2 wives coming one diving one not diving. There are a couple of others who are uncertain at the moment. The numbers, 5 Megs (providing Charles sells his Inspo and gets his new Meg) 3 Kiss This is going to be a great trip so don't miss out on it!! Regards, Lance

Not to mention the well stocked bar ![]() ![]() PM me if interested. Regards, Lance (Added) Forgot to mention, Stuey still has his Inspo for sale and really wants to dive his new Meg whilst he's there too ![]()
