BC and AK CCR Friendly?

I will be going on a Alaska cruise in mid June 2008 with the wife. Since I have to fly in and out of Vancouver Canada I thought it might be worthwhile to bring along the CCR and let the wife go home after the cruise while I get some diving in.

Other than Port Hardy (long drive from Vancouver) does anyone have recommendation on CCR friendly dives that are worth the time and effort to bring along the CCR?

Since I will have the CCR with me what about Alaska diving opportunities?

Any and all suggestions welcome.

Diving in Alaska? Are you nuts? How cold is that water?

Florida = warm

You have a drysuit now....just wear more underwear and weight.

I will be in Florida next week and I am bringing my drysuit.
