Diving the Mighty "O" - wanna come?

Putting together a trip to dive the Oriskany (and other Pensecola sites).
Trip dates are confirmed for July 14 thru 18, through the Scuba Shack.

Breathers are allowed and Im told they will have Helium very shortly. If they dont I guess Im bringing my 300s to fill everyone off of.

Just thought Id ask the community if anyone was interested, the more the marrier.

SCUBA Shack is the least "tech friendly" shop in town. THere are two others who have helium on hand, one of which has a booster and charges by the cubic foot. FYI- SCUBA Shack also has the sssssllllooooowwwweeeesssstttt boat in this area. Also, if you ask Gene (the owner) for a fill that is anything but rated pressure his head will likely screw itself into the ceiling.

Dive Pros (with booster) and MBT (I am pretty sure they don't have a booster).

I'll keep these dates in mind. I'll have to see how the schedule pans out for July.

I did the Oriskany right after they sank it on OC. I'd love to go back and do it CC with some more bottom time.

Are you guys doing unlimited profiles on this trip?

I looked at MBT (who do not have a booster) and all the comments I've heard about them were that they were the "Scuba Nazi's" of the area. If you dont do it their way you can't go diving.

I'll look into DivePros, haven't heard good or bad about the operation, but I think we're going to stay with the Shack this time around.
I've never had a problem with Scuba Shack, boat is a bit slow but for a SI it works.

As long as everyone gets the correct amount of fill pressure and not get shorted, I don't have a real problem NOT getting over fills.

For Technical dives, all that Gene wants is a profile made out before hitting the water.

I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about Dive Pros. I've worked for them for 12 years, and am their resident technical instructor.

Down Under runs charters out to "O". They also support CCR and OC tech divers as well. They allow 2.5hr dive profiles and I believe have gas. Im not sure about the booster though. Tech dive is $199

I would be interested in the dive. Was planning on making the trip some time this summer with some friends.
