Diving the Mighty "O" - wanna come?

Dive Pros and Down Under do look (web site) like very good operations. Going Under tech dive price is comparible to Scuba Shack but Dive Pros want an additional $25 per dive.

I did want to stay within the Pensecola area also

Invitation will be open to anyone who would like to join us...

I'll give a reminder when the date gets closer, would be nice to dive with some fellow members.

Give Tim Thorsen with Viking Diving a try. We went out with him right after DEMA and we had a blast. He is not a shop, only a boat operator, but he is rebreather friendly. Viking Diving Home cheers, RBN

its a bad move letting dive shops tell you, what is and what is not a tech dive

and wanting 200usd is a joke ,,,

would not go down to well in the uk ,,,

I think its a f_____g ridiculas that charters want extra $$ for a "tech" dive wich doesn't cost them any additional expense....

Wether we sit there for 2 "rec" dives or one real long dive, we're there for the same amount of time. No additional fuel is being used, no extra wear and tear on the boat or its equipment. I asked all the operators who dive the "O" and I get the same answer..... "It's the increased liability and the extra tanks that you (the diver) carry." Even if I bring my own

What can you do? If I want to dive, I have to pay.... If I say I'm not diving because of the additional tech charge, they don't care cause the next guy will pay it....

Yesterday I did a "tech" dive to a local wreck. We had to limit our total run time to 60 minutes. We did one dive and returned to dock. The normal cost for a 2 tank/2 dive OC trip is $50 and They charged us $75 for less dive time and less boat time. Really seems like a racket to me.

It's a racket no doubt. Proving so is a whole new matter. I did a 6 pak charter last year with 3 OC rec divers, myself and 2 OC tech divers. It was $150USD/each.

60min run time ant v teck , are run time for this so call new teck diving is about 180min

think you should be pointing out that a dive with less than 60/90mis deco ant teck
so $50 will be fine thank you v much shipper ,, or do you call them ripper over there ...

i sorry to hear this sort of ripoff is the norm over the pond ,,,
ist just diving .. we should be paying for the same as all the others
unless ist a long run of to the wreck , or tis a long day for the skipper
not cos i have a ccr or a twin set and a side can ,,,

if ist over 80m and 240mins run time then we should pay a bit more
if it ant then lets pay the flat rate ,,,

think you guys are getting it up the back side ... and i hope things get better for you all.

please if your in the dive bis , Dont come back with some more crap ,,
i dont want to hear it ,,,
