| Re: Belize - CCR Going to Belize - does anyone know if there are any CCR friendly dive shops in Belize? I was just there 27th thru 03rd. Give Isaac at Ocean Adventures a call (+5016052945) or email at oceanadventures@btl.net. He should be able to hook you up with everything you need given enough lead time. Great outfit, VERY accommodating. Tell him I sent you, and the Belikin is on me!![]()

| Re: Belize - CCR Going to Belize - does anyone know if there are any CCR friendly dive shops in Belize? Hi Patti, I've been to Belize and dived CCR with Protech in 03'. Good operation that was out of commision last time I checked but supposedly reorganizing and coming back, not sure if Peter is still around. I would recomend spending more time away from Ambergrize Cay as the diving is much better on the atolls, which are top notch. Also, it can be very windy in the winter months so it might be worth looking ahead at the weather if you have any flex in your dates... -Andy![]() |

| Re: Belize - CCR Hi Patti, We were in Ambergrize Cay in 05, and Protec was supporting rebreathers then. When I spoke with Peter at Protec, he had just had one of his rebreathers stolen. I won't mention the Dive shop we used, but be weary of leaving dive equipment overnight as my wife had a computer stolen. I second the comment on diving the Atolls. BTW, Belekin beer tastes great, but had an off gassing effect on me if you know what I mean ![]() Marc

| Re: Belize - CCR There was also a liveaboard with s CCR diving Capt. who I had eratic contact with him about 2 years ago. I don't think the boat had a very regular schedule. A LOB would definitely be the best way to dive Belize due to the better sites being far off shore. I'll try to dig up the info, sure would be nice if the guy is still around and able to support CCR divers, I'd be there twice a year... |

Not sure if it will help but Nekton runs a liveaboard and I was on it a couple of years ago. They did not support CCR at the time but I recall reading a recent post here that indicated they may have changed this policy. |

Captain was African-American and had a MK and an Inspo IIRC... |
