Scapa Flow sep 08

i am probably going to be on a group trip to scapa flow in sep of 2008, on a trip sponsored by a LDS, on MV Karin. Have been told that support for my Rebreather is available, sorb tanks fills etc. can anyone comment?

also would like any info about the destination, diving, local sights etc. I have read a few web reports(infantate etc) and two books, blockships and something, and like wreks of scapa both by some famous brit- a tea drinking dan berg if you will, any thing else i should read know plan for etc??

thanks m8s, < see the neuw yawker is getting with the lingo already >

You should be able to get everything for the Rebreather there - Sorb might cost a bit more as they have to pay extra for shipping up to the Orkneys I think.
If you are flying up to the Orkneys, just double check your baggage allowances for the UK bit of it - standard UK allowance is 1 x 23kg checked baggage, 1 x 5kg hand luggage. Although this varies with different airlines.

Re: Scapa Flow sep 08

Be sure you will recieve the best service possible with John Thornton (MV KARIN owner-skipper).... JPT on this website
I have been 6 times in Scapa with him, for trimix weeks or in the flow dives, and John is a great skipper and ccr diver for ages.

Enjoy.....
