![]() | Re: Philippine Cave expedition Gilles Because of the logistics which was a total nightmare this trip we did only dive oc. I myself prefer to dive with Rebreather's but I did not want to go through all of the hassels of getting sorb and fills to the location. If I see enough interest in this area I will see to it myself and set up a compressor, tanks and nitrox fills there. There is a good possibility of this happening. andibk |

![]() | Re: Philippine Cave expedition Are you sure you want to make that move. I hear Malasia is not a bad place to live. I have had the opportunity to visit a few times but never on a long term basis. Just kidding aside, hope you enjoy where you are moving to. andibk |

I have had the opportunity to visit a few times but never on a long term basis. Just kidding aside, hope you enjoy where you are moving to. andibk Malaysian Borneo is a great place to live. Different from Thailand in that it is very multi-culturally tolerant and there's a marvelous lack of feeling like a foreigner here. I will miss it dearly. Was a great place to put significant Rebreather learning hours in along with some light Tmx diving. There's an abundance of caves, but the vast majority are all dry and the few water filled ones i know of are high flow siphons. The SC Sea on NW Borneo is seasonal, has a few good wrecks, reefs, and platforms. In all, a good RB beginners place. I expect lots of travel in my new job, and Rebreather will likley accompany me on some of my biz trips. Hence I hope to be moving into a phase of making more contact with people on this forum, and exposing self to more different people, places, and diving conditions. |
