Hi Folks,

Well, it’s certainly been a hectic summer at Dive-Tek this year, with training running almost non-stop since our first Mod 1 courses with Rasmus Lauritsen back in April.

When Rasmus flew on to Malta in mid-May, after a solid month spent training at Dive-Tek, we had a week to continue improvements at the centre, and at last get the compressor moved and the new mixing facility installed before more students rolled-in.

A non-stop round of training courses continued up until this week, with a steady stream of IANTD and ITDA students completing Meg Mod 1, and loads of OC programs. Congrats go to the following:

This was followed by a short break (?!) mid-October to exhibit at the NEC once again, alongside ITDA, which was busier then ever for us, and resulted in securing some more supplier contracts, including Miflex Xtreme Hoses and Oxycheq, and touching base with Leon Scamerhorn from Innerspace, Simon & Julie from HDI, Rasmus Lauritsen, Phil Short (who’s hopefully planning some training over here during winter), Stuart Ford, who was certainly more than pleased with the success of the RBW Store stand, and a host of other folks, to whom I apologise if I didn’t mention you by name!

Thanks in particular go to Nick Jewson & Mike Clack, for their kind assistance in our BSAC Technical Centre programs.

Finally, special thanks, of course, must go to all our customers and friends who made the journey and dropped-in to say hello – thanks folks, and we look forward to seeing you again soon, especially Geoff, who still owes us that beer!

Rasmus already has scheduled courses running here in May 2008, for CCR and Tech Wreck, so check our website for details, or drop us a line if interested.

DIVE CENTRE

Now nearing completion, with a last push before Christmas, the Dive Centre boasts:

Mixing facility – dedicated mixing facility, with fully automated compressor system, 300bar banks, electric-driven gas booster, more O2 & Helium, plenty of Rebreather cylinders and aluminium bail-outs.

Shop – new product lines from MiFlex Hoses, Oxycheq, DivingNikNaks & Manta reels AND ½ tonne of Sofnolime at great prices!

Classroom & student/diver area – plenty of diver dry-space, and IT resources with printer, PC, Digital Projector and FREE wireless internet!

Workshop – increased bench area & facilities for customer Rebreather stripdowns

Cylinder Testing & Reg Servicing – Hydro & Visual services from November

Wash-down area and kit storage

DVD’s – Zenobia Tech Diving & Custom DVD’s from Deep Inspirations

Poseidon & Apeks – dealer & service centre

We also have FREE tea & coffee facilities, ice-cold soft drinks available (sorry, not free!), and supply bottled mineral water for boat dives, also FOC.

We are always seeking other dive centres and clubs to work with, taking your customer or club referrals for Tech courses, Summer & Winter breaks, and Zenobia diving. TRAINING & TRIPS

Rebreathers - we currently have 2 places left available in May for Mod 1 – drop us a line if interested.

BSAC – we are offering special package deals throughout the winter for BSAC Branches, offering training & Branch hosting for BSAC Sport & Tech OC Programs up to Sport Mixed Gas, in association with Scandidive Cyprus (www.scandidivecyprus.com). Packages include airport transfers, s/c apartments, and preferential rates to members. Details are available through Branches, in an Officers Pack that’s going out to all listed Branches later this week. Please contact us if you would like this pack sent directly to you, if you are a Branch Officer. We’re also sponsoring an ERD course for the DOC raffle – don’t forget to buy a ticket if you’re going!

IANTD / ITDA – we’ll have a full rolling program for 2008 for Rebreather, OC & Dry Programs from both Agencies – the 2008 schedule will be up shortly – check web for details. Check ITDA for planned Club Training Packages www.itdagroup.com.

Winter Packages – we offer a choice of training package deals throughout the winter, with one-week trips to including accommodation, airport transfers, 2 Dry Courses (Blender, Technician, Medic etc.), and 2-days diving all-in. Check website later this week for full details.

FINALLY…

The website is gradually getting up-dated, and now has more downloads available, and we’ll soon be offering on-line shopping, and course booking, with PayPal. Next project is the Gallery, where we’ll soon be getting some long-awaited pics up of Zenobia & tech training trips.

O2 Grease – following the success at the NEC of our O2 Grease sales, we are still offering this at fantastic prices! Check our website for details, and drop us a line to order!

Future dates for your diary – we’ll be at LIDS 8/9 March, once again, alongside ITDA – we’ll let you know which stand nearer the time – seems this was a problem at NEC this year!

Meantime, it’s still topping 30 degrees during the day, flat calm and blue, so don’t sit at home dreaming of next year – there’s still some good diving to be had here! And with accommodation prices now fallen for out-of-season, and cheap lime, it’s not going to break the bank, either! We’ll organize your airport transfers, and guide you to the better food & watering holes!
