| Morehead City, NC in October Looking for Rebreather divers to join us for up to five days of wreck diving in North Carolina from 24 - 28 October. 24, 25 Oct is with Discovery Diving, if we get over six divers (have four now) we will get the bigger crew boat instead of a six pac. We will dive the U 352 on one of these two days (in NC, its always 'weather permitting'...) Reservations at 252-728 2265 or dive@discoverydiving.com. Oct 26 is a Technical Wreck Hunt with Olympus - the big crew boat with side scan sonar. They have quite a number of coordinates where fishermen and others have reported significant profiles on the bottom. Expected depths, 140-200 ft, they welcome Rebreather divers on these trips. Oct 27 and 28 is a Tech Weekend: "Join the crew at Olympus on an Extended Range dive weekend! Our intention is to visit less frequented sites such as the Malchase, Manuela or the Yancey, though regardless of our destination, the charter will be technical in nature with longer bottom times, onboard air fills, and smaller crowds to accomodate more gear." Max depth 200 feet. Again they welcome Rebreather divers. Contact Jon at jon@olympusdiving.com for more information or to make a reservation (252-726-9432)! For those of you who have not stayed at the Olympus Bunkhouse, its clean, convenient and cheap ($25/night), easy walk to local restaurants. It makes for a very reasonably priced week (or weekend) of diving. Hope to see many of you there; if any questions, PM me here. best, john |
