| Who loves ya, baby ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Axel Horn used to be the man for CCRs in the Maledives. He quit Bandos in February and moved Gan to run Diverland. Plans were to set up the island for nitrox and rebreathers. http://www.axel-horn-dive.de/

| Rebreather diving in Maldives Soo Seng Khoo the regional IANTD Rep now runs the Dive Bandos operation. I completed my Meg crossover course with him earlier this year. He can supply gas, sorb and tanks. Nice operation and great dive boats. His e-mail is: khooss@singnet.com.sg or dive@bandos.com.mv Regards, Fred |

Sofnolime per fill is US $ 25 and pure oxygen per fill is US$ 50" Kuredu "Thank you for your recent email regarding your proposed holiday with us here at ProDivers Maldives, Kuredu Island Resort. We have a current price list which is valid until the end of October 2005 but there will be no changes in the next season. The costs for O2 and Sofnalime for the Inspiration are; Sofnalime $9/Kg Oxygen $0,04/ltr Cylinders are not offered so you will have to bring your own." Bandos is a bit pricey.

It's also run by ProDivers, but is in Ari atoll. And the hotel is better. I've only been there 14 times. I've been to Kuredu 3 times and I won't go back......I need to know where is Inspiration friendly. So far I have; Bandos - no reply from the outfit Ellaidhoo - have O2, 797 and cylinders Kuredu - have O2 and 797 must bring own cylinders Any help will be greatly appreciated. Marc (The divebase leader on Vak) will get you O2 to order, and usually has sofnolime on the Island. E Mail him and ask. marc@prodivers.com You will need cylinders and a charging whip. I go there and do 4 weeks diving, twice a day, every day. 64 dives last trip. My wife goes there and sunbathes for a month, with the occasional snorkel..... Dare I say mention my name? |

Heck, even the local sorb dealer is selling that price for small quantity here in UAE.But US$50 per O2 fill ? Come on, what a f**king rip-off... A J-bottle of medical-grade O2 costs me US$6.When we were diving with Tekstreme (Sharm), tanks were loaned for free and so was O2.

Divetheworld I'll be looking for a nice trip report when you get back, I am thinking of taking my wife and the little one to the Maldives in 2007. My cousin is getting posted to Noumea for 2 years next year, so next year's holiday is New Caledonia methinks. Cheers, Dave Cooper
