Bali Rebreather friendly operators?

Hi all,

I am planning a rebreather trip to Bali for late next year and was wondering if you guys knew of any rebreather friendly dive operator in the area. Somebody that carried He/O2 and sorb would be perfect.

Thanks!

Luiz

Theres Simon at Blue Marlin, Lombok (islanad next door) not sure who on Bali itself is catering to RBs Im sure there are some. Blue Marlin Dive on the Gili Islands, Lombok, Indonesia, Gili Islands, Lombok Gilli Island if you want HE and looking at doing deep walls hes likely your best bet. Hes diving/instructing Inspirations has He/sorb/O2 etc

If you want to do ex Bali LOB wrecks (as in new discoveries 50m+ range) Mvempress.com runs ex Bali trips. He, sorb,O2, booster and very Rebreather fiendly

Cant help with reef stuff on Bali itself as I havent checked it out myself

Re: Bali Rebreather friendly operators?

Thanks, I will check out the Lombok option. I knew about the Empress, but I wanted to save some $$$ by being land based. The reason I wanted Bali is because this will be a scientific expedition, and my sponsoring institution (University of Hawaii) requires that our deep dives are within 2 hours drive of a recompression chamber. There is one in Denpasar, do you know if there is any in Lombok?

Thanks!

You may be aware that theres a chamber onboard the Empress - and unlike a hospital they will allow you to take fermented deco-fluids (normally Tiger but in this case not) During treatment

Re: Bali Rebreather friendly operators?

Thanks for the feedback everybody, I was considering the Empress, but with the photo I will think twice before going anywhere near that chamber!

HI Luiz,

For CCR Bali, you can contact 2 dive shops:
Diving Bali with Bali Scuba. Bali diving trips, PADI courses and Nitrox. (David,Knutt)
Or, Bali Scuba Diving | Bali International Diving Professionals, Bali (Avandy)

Both shops can fill pure O2, and they are buying sodalime from me (Draeger sorb and Sofnolime) I can hook you up as well in Jakarta area (Banten bay wreck,USS Houston, HMAS Perth etc...)

PM me if you need info.

Re: Bali Rebreather friendly operators?

Luiz,

Check out beyondscuba in bali. Olivier teaches Voyager rebreather there. Check out my reply in the thread,"Anywhere to dive Rebreather in Bali Indonesia."
His rates are there though there is no mention of helium.
