Cyprus Rebreather Gathering & Dive?

Hello guys,

i have been thinking for a long time now to arrange a meeting in Cyprus for all rebreather users in order to get to know each other. There was another post in here somewhere, where i have sent out a post 10-15 days ago but somehow it was not posted and i don't know why. so i thought i should post something new from the beggining.

The idea is to get all the Rebreather divers in Cyprus, and to create something like a "union" without clubs, scuba schools etc which more or less are arranging dives and trips for money.

I am planning to arrange a deeper dive, in which i am inviting anyone who wants to take part either as a bottom diver, or a support diver, and this should be a great event. i have made arrangements with boats, lines, etc, but would still like to get in contact with divers who are interested so we can have a chat about things. my idea is to keep things simple and each diver should bring his own gases, equipment etc, therefore we will be only needing less stuff from boat etc.

The even is likely to take place some time next month, haven't exactly set a date yet, but since is up here now, i am welcoming foreing Rebreather Divers if they are planning to be in Cyprus, then this would be a great opportunity to dive in Cyprus, probably Zenobia wreck which most guys come here for, and take part.

i am also thinking about the benefits each diver would gain from such an experience. i know for sure that even for me, i have a lot to learn.

This is definetely not an event that would generate money for anyone, nor am i posting this in order to benefit in anyway. i have contacted Cedric Verdier whom i asked to come along on the dive and he accepted this so i guess it would be good for Cypriot Rebreather divers at least to be around.

PS. i am still planning to do the dive even if guys don't show up. Just me and Cedric. i'll just have to pay the boat rent myself. so cheer up guys, this was not meant to be either for me or Cedric. it's just an open invitation to start making things more interesting for Rebreather Divers in Cyprus.
