diving in barcelona

hi there all .this summer im going to barcelona and i wanted to know where i can go dive with my rebreather ..and what is the law in spain for rebreathers that ernt ce like my ss dophin shell.. i would need a club that does nitrox. thanks steve

I usually go to l'Escala and dive at Montgo' Sub. It is run by Quim Pallas. Tel 011 34 972 25 52 69 (from the US) He is very layed back and probably wouldn't look too close.

Also, very near is l'Estartit, a national park. (Both are less than two hours (150 km) out of Barcelona. (North) L'Estartit is a little touristy.

More info can be seen at Scuba Diving around Cap Creus and the Bay of Roses, Costa Brava Spain

Hi stegri5,

At the moment you don´t have problems with law. You can dive with all kind rebreathers, but ask to the captain the maximum time of diving

If you need fill gases. The best place in Barcelona and probably in Spain is:

Ask for Eva, They fill all kind of gases if you have a Dive Card.
