| Getting spammed by In Depth Training Inc didn't know where to put this, Have received a an unwanted email presumably from this website (maybe diveoz), from InDepth Training Inc, spruiking their business. but seeing as it links to cedricverdier.com and DIRrebreather, i'm less than impressed in having my email given out. Stuart if its not from this site, my apologies.

| Gallery Administrator ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Getting spammed by In Depth Training Inc I very much doubt its coming from here. I've luckily not had any. It could be that someone is harvesting email address from the site but it would have to be done manually I think and if anyone was found to be, its against the TOS. SO they'd be in a little bit of bother from the staff for being bad. Just add the sending address to you filter and leave it to go into the bin.

It seems that an old employee of International training has used and or distributed info copied while employed therefor there own . Lets just say we always know when its his birthday! ![]()

| Re: Getting spammed by In Depth Training Inc Anybody else get this "Good Morning First of all, I want to apologize if this email is unsolicited, but I thought you may be interested in a project we are building between some PADI, SSI, NAUI and TDI diving professionals. During the last months we noticed that we (diving professionals) don’t have a channel to talk and discuss serious issues about the Scuba Diving Profession… not only that, sometimes diving instructors need advice from more experience divers in other fields like Rebreathers, Cave Diving, Tech diving, Trimix etc. So, we just created a forum/board called [deleted] Obviously the idea is quite clear, to share our experiences and information and try to get more precise information that will make us, a sort of an informal organization of diving professionals. If you feel you can give us a hand by helping us populate our tech diving section that would be great. We are aware that you are a member of a key community forum about Rebreathers, so we want to invite you not to abandon your existent forum, but to give us a hand to understand more about your passion and the kind of diving you practice. Also we are seeking moderators to help us populate the board, so if you have extra time and want to have this role in our brand new baby board, let me know. Again, thanks a lot for reading and I hope you have great diving this year. Best Regards, [deleted] it seems to me that that information must have come from somewhere. | XLVI WC! ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Getting spammed by In Depth Training Inc Kevin please see below: OK guys, especially those of you who seem to be "over-reacting" just a tad. If you have any queries please contact myself or one of the other Admins and Moderators. For those who haven't worked out what happened, a "hacker" hacked into Stuart's PERSONAL email account. From there, he got Stu's RBW password, as well as other personal information, which gave him full admin access to RBW, including email addresses, user passwords, full access to edit / delete user accounts, posts, threads, etc etc etc... From there, he deleted my post in the staff forum about the spam email, which I'd posted within 2 minutes of receiving it (happened to be online at the time, but went to bed not long after). He also deleted the user accounts of Beanie, Mdemon, Deepblueinnovation, and a few other users who had posted bitching about the spam. There were a few other nasty tricks that I'm not gonna get into, but all I can say is DO NOT join this site, DO NOT support them, DO NOT even look at it. If they're dirty enough to hack into someone's PERSONAL email account, and create all the havoc they have on RBW, (and the same on a couple of other sites that Stu has), then what are these "people" going to do with your personal information when you join? Many thanks

| Re: Getting spammed by In Depth Training Inc I got this mail as well It seems incredibly vindictive to attack Stuarts site like that- to the IT no com like me one wonders how they thought they wouldn't be identified as culprits? Does RBW have any kind of legal recourse with something like this?
