O2 CCR Training In Northern California?

hi All!!!

i know that Channel Islands Scuba in Ventura used to offer (maybe still does?) CCR O2 training, but thats a bit far for someone in North California to drive. (waaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh i know ;-) )

is there anyone in Northern california that offers O2 CCR courses? is there anyone thats qualified to offer an O2 CCR Course?

an OC diver thats wanting to do Rebreather's properly and with proper training is what i am. ive got what learning ive gained from reading (wich i know amounts to poop compared to training, as i used to assist in teaching SCUBA classes years ago, granted different people have different feelings on this) but i want to explore this aspect of diving safely, and i want to return with no physiological damage as a result. i want to watch my children grow up, to be a part of their lives, to help guide them along their way, and God willing to be a grandpa someday, and if im lucky enough a great-grandpa whos still diving and able to introduce his kids and grandkids into diving, and again God willing his great-grandkids.

any direction that is offered is apprecaited, and if theres an instructor up here, please point me his/her way. personally i dont care about agency affiliation or certification, just proper training and knowledge.

Monterey is about 3 hours from me... i was hoping there might be someone alittle closer, but beggars cant be choosers. if you have his information handy, id appreciate it. if nothing else i can give him a call and get the course details from him.

much appreciated, and if anyone knows of anyone closer to the Sacramento area, please let me know. Dolphin Scuba is out, they pissed me off on the phone.

In Monterey you've got Joe Dituri, busy guy, but excellent instructor.

If you still want to try someone closer, not Dolphin... contact Advanced Diving Technologies (Welcome to Advanced Diving Technologies) in Pittsburg, CA (owner: Les Wilkinson) they do not offer rebreather training, but the owner knows alot of peeps and may be able to help....
