| S21 M.I.B. ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Hi, Not exactly rebreather-related but as IANTD is a major player amongst the rebreather training agencies, the following news could be interesting for those who don't know yet (http://www.divenewswire.com/NewsITems.aspx?newsID=7378): Management Changes Announced at IANTD Tom Mount steps down from previous role at training organization. Rudi Asseer to take over as CEO and President as of July 1, 2005. The following letter which contains important news about the future direction of IANTD was recently distributed to members of the dive industry. Submitted May 13, 2005 Dear Diving Professionals, After directing the activities of IAND, Inc. dba IANTD since 1991 and being actively involved in dive leadership programs since 1963, with a diving career that began in 1957, Tom Mount has decided it is time to bring new and enthusiastic blood into the IANTD leadership. After searching for just the right person who has a combination of enthusiasm, dedication to dive safety, and a proven leadership capability combined with solid credentials in business management, over the last year such a person has been found. Tom and Patti Mount with BOD’s approval determined that the ideal person to guide IAND, Inc./IANTD into the future would be Rudi Asseer. Effective July 1, 2005 Rudi has agreed to accept the position of CEO & President of IANTD. Tom will remain active on the Board of Directors and Editor in Chief of Nitrox Diver magazine and in production of new programs for IANTD. Tom will continue his personal teaching programs and instructor training. We believe this new diversion of talents will allow IANTD to develop a much stronger program and bring more exciting products to our program well into the future. At the present time we have just produced the new Tek CCR Manual as a first of its kind and with original materials being presented, a new Tek Lite Manual will be available in June 2005. The most exciting event in years is the introduction of the IANTD on-line program available through all IANTD Instructors and Facilities. This is notwithstanding the plans that Rudi intends to bring to the forefront as a true example of a business and diving visionary. IANTD now has the combination of the very experienced and seasoned pros with the vison and drive of a new age at its disposal. So hang on and enjoy the bold and exciting leadership IANTD will be providing the dive industry. Additional information will follow as the new management team is announced and the outlook for the 2005 dive season. For those of you who do not know Rudi here is a brief bio sketch. With an extensive and impressive background, Rudi can only be described as professional and courteous. Rudi’s background reaches from the Canadian National Cycling Team, to the financial industry with Toronto Dominion Bank, former Director and President of TDI Canada, current President of Farallon USA serving as a defense contractor for the U.S Navy, and recent recipient of the prestigious OBJ Under 40 CEO of the Year Award. His team dynamic is solid and he truly believes in a collaborated effort. Rudi first started diving in the early 90’s, excelled to an instructor trainer and deeply enjoys the adventure so much that he proposed to his future wife underwater in Bikini Atoll last year. This is a key change that will ensure a secure and dynamic future for IANTD, which can only bring positive things to diving industry worldwide. Yours truly, Tom Mount Patti Mount Rudi Asseer (Former CEO & President, Vice President, CEO & President ) ![]()
