| Gallery Administrator ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | ANDI Level 5 (Trimix) Well a short post to say that I along with Paul B and Lisa are mid an ANDI Level 5 course (mod 3 equivelent), so far we've managed to do the theory. The weather in Cornwall last week seriously being against us .The material is still under development but looks pretty good a few translational errors from US to UK but all good stuff. The interesting thig was that the presentation was combined OC and CCR whihc was handy as we had our OC mate on the course doing ERD / TX (we converted him to the yellow side). There is still no manual but it is supposed to be coming soon whihc is good.We shall be back in mid June to do the dives and hopefully get it done. in the mean time we have plenty of time to practice all our skills.

| Very brief & Snipped from ANDI website http://www.andihq.com/pages/levels.html Don't make much sense to me either I'm only doing the course! Level 1 - introductory program for new divers or divers-in-training. Level 2 - advanced recreational. Level 3 - technical diving. Level 4 - exploration Level 5 - exploration that involve the use of other inert gases.

| MOD1 = Air Dil, 40mish no deco MOD2 = Normox trimix, deco limited MOD3 = Full trimix, unlimited deco. The reality is MOD3 is a "how to survive everything going tits up" course. From memory... not from standards.

The weather in Cornwall last week seriously being against us Sounds like My L3 powerpoint.. for L5 stuff only a few extra topics have to be introduced.. I am wondering if Gary is using it (its not officially released yet either) .The material is still under development but looks pretty good a few translational errors from US to UK but all good stuff. Was there a big section on disenfectants and why not to use buddy clean? The "manual" sort of exists.. I wrote most of it 2 years ago.. It needs polishing for general release.. The instructors are required to know all the material in it and teach it.. I have been busy with other stuff so it keeps getting put on hold.. Right now the KISS program is holding it up.. The exam is challenging (I have been told by those who have taken it - Non ANDI trained) and covers topics generally not taught by the other agencies.. I still have work to do on the exam... I think its still too easy Any questions feel free to PM me..
