Re: A short report from a new CCR Trimix diver!

great report KIM! I too can relate to your trepidations as I have been quite independent over the years. When I got in to CCR diving I had no idea I'd get to the point where I wanted to and felt comfortable to do some deep stuff. I do take my time with these decisions but have come to the conclusion that doing mod 2 and 3 are an inevitability at some point in the next year.

thanks again for the great report, happy and safe picture taking!

Thank you all for your nice words! :-)

And Phillipe: Sorry for my late answer! Had some things to do after returning from holiday! The cable from the VR3 is just connected parallel to one of the 3 original cells. Should only be possible to do on the COPIS... not on the APECS due to some issue about impedans as far I have been told. The connection of the VR3 helps me a lot when entering the water. Taking my arm/COPIS display out of the water for a couple of seconds, often turns off the COPIS display, but then I can still read my PO2 from the VR3 since it can be turned on for at least 5minutes, even out of the water!I know the reading on the VR3 is done by only one sensor, but in case the COPIS display turns off for some reason, I think the VR3 with a cabled sensor will be a big help to get safe out of the water!

Re: A short report from a new CCR Trimix diver!

Greetings from Nordsjaelland Kim, Congratulations on a successful course(what language was it done in?) Bet it makes a change being the photgraphic subject instead of the photographer! Where do you plan on diving sub 45m, not the Kattegat and not solo?

Regards...Paul

I follow you. Makes sense. Now I've got Copis #41 and my displays NEVER turn off once connected. Are your displays different?

Hi Paul!

The course was done in danish and norwegian mostly.... sometimes a little translation from norwegian to danish and from danish to swedish! :-)

I don't have any exact plans for deep diving yet, but it's always good to be prepared, you know! :-) Deeper wrecks in Norway looks interesting, for instance! :-)

Hi Phillipe!

My display is not LCD but LED.... i think it also has a different elektronic than yours (The very first display type).

One push means display on for about 5seconds.... on short and one long push will keep it turned on as long as kept underwater. I guess it also uses more power than the LCD but I tell you it's easy to read underwater! :-)
