![]() | Anyone familiar with this facility? I am planning to make my mod 1 course here since they accept my padi nitrox to qualify for the course and seem to have resonable prices. Does anyone have any experience with these people? Best regards/Daniel Tec Diving Safaga Red Sea Dive CCR Trimix Egypt IANTD |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Anyone familiar with this facility? If they are sticking to IANTD standards then you are only taking the Open Water CCR (OW CCR) course which limits you to 21m and a PO2 of 1.2! ![]() You can go deeper (30m) only if accompanied by an instructor/supervisor. It is considered a non-tech course by IANTD themselves. For the true MOD1 your current EANx qualifications aren't sufficient. The depth rating here is 42m for air diluent, 48m with Helium. Not suggesting they're doing anything wrong but were you aware of the limitations you were going to be under by failing to get an Advanced EANx qualification prior to your move to CCR? The standards are here http://www.iantd.com/EForms/IANTD%20...2007%20Web.pdf |

| Learning to Kiss ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Anyone familiar with this facility? I would also suggest getting advanced nitrox/decompression procedure qualifications. Aside from anything else I think it is very important to have a good grasp of the knowledge learned in these courses in order to safely use your rebreather - whatever brand you choose. Skills such as the validation of diluent PP02 for any given depth for cell validation is one example that may save your life. Cheers, Ben. |
