My guess on the leak was that one of the small tie wraps that serve as "handles" on the upper basket got between the top of the canister and the head, preventing a perfect seal. Though it's only a guess. It has been fine since.And, out of curiosity, what caused the leak? In other news, I did my first cold water dive a couple of nights ago. The first ten minutes was kind of comical, adding a drysuit to the wing and the loop, and figuring out how to balance the three. I got it sorted out though, and had a fantastic dive for 55 mins in 41F water. I had been wondering about the much spoken of "warm moist gas" from the machine as a bonus in cold water. It seems to me that it was subtle, not so much warm as not OC cold. I am sure though that my core was much warmer than it would have been on the same OC dive. R
