Looking for training

Hi I am looking for information on instructors and the units they use in and around my home state of Alabama. As you can see I have been lurking for awhile, and I am getting closer to going to the dark side. At this time I am still looking for a unit and will most likely be limited to how far I have to travel for training. Thank you for any response.

I'm sure you will find a lot of opportunities there. Anyway if you ever need and think at Ouroboros or Sentinel I'm always traveling in Winter time and I would give a hand to drive the Ducati on your Avatar...

Cheers

Nad

Re: Looking for training

If you are willing to travel to the area near Wakulla, in Florida near Tallahassee, I would be willing to train you there on the Optima. PM me if interested.

Re: Looking for training

You could contact Ron Benson (Ron Benson <goingunder@embarqmail.com>) He is located in Minnesota, but does do training in Florida around High Springs. He did to classes in Feb/Mar and I thought he said something about another in April.
I was in the Feb class and would highly recommend him.

Good Luck, Al

Re: Looking for training

Hello, I have an inspiration vision and an evolution with vision and can help you with your training. My Name is Rod Rogers and I am with International Divemasters. We are the Platinum dealer in Atlanta and would be happy to do a Rebreather Experience if you like. I have up to 3 available. Let me know if I can help.

Re: Looking for training

I would suggest speaking with both newly trained and veteran divers to get their recommendations on lessons learned from their training experiences and their experience with various instructors.

All of this will also depend based on what unit you decide to purchase.

Re: Looking for training

Thank you for the replies so far. There are several unit that I find interesting, but the cost of a unit plus training is one thing. But unit, training, travel, boarding, and food all for mod 1 wow. So the closer to home I can get the better off the bank and most importantly the wife are.

Hi Michael,

I am Andy and I teach and build the Pelagian DCCCR, a mechanically controlled CCR. The unit is USD 5800 and I will run a course in Florida in the end of April together with Tom Mount.

If you are intersted and willing to travel to Miami you are welcome to join. The best would be to contact Tom Mount at IANTD HQ for scheduling, tuition fees and all the other details. For more info on the Pelagian you could do a search here on Rebreather World and also send me an email to info@rebretherlab.com

Which ever unit you end up goiong with there's lots of fun waiting!

Good luck with your future Rebreather diving.

Andy
