Dear Christina:
I am the attorney to IANTD Headquarters in the United States. Mr. Tom Mount has asked that I reply to your e-mail regarding the situation with IANTD SRL.

Unfortunately, at this time IANTD SRL is not operating as part of the IANTD worldwide organization overseen by IANTD Headquarters in the United States. To explain, some time ago the IANTD SRL territory was purchased by Mr. Ruberti who remains the sole owner of IANTD SRL. On its own accord, IANTD SRL stopped all reporting of membership and certifications to Headquarters despite many attempts by Headquarters to obtain this information. Because of this decision by SRL to continue its non-reporting practices IANTD Headquarters was forced to advise the world that it has no information which would allow it to recognize any memberships or certifications coming from SRL as of August 17, 2007.

Currently, Headquarters is unaware of the type of operations that continue in the SRL territory. IANTD has no information regarding SRL membership, certifications or services being offered by IANTD SRL in 2008. It is unclear if IANTD SRL certifications are being recognized outside of the SRL territory.

Thus to answer your questions we suggest that you contact IANTD SRL directly and determine how you wish to proceed with your membership training and involvement with that entity.

Someone can explaine exactly what they are talking about and what problems or there may be limits to divers and instructors IANTD srl.?

Hi Phelia,
I was aware of this problem since some months.
I was upset because of the problems potentially caused to instructor and trainers.
I understand the problem and the doubts because it is years that I can't find the names of the italian professionals on the IANTD HQ list. I don't know if this is a misunderstanding of one or another part and if this is the only problem.

IANTD hq mailed around a message some time ago where they wrote that IANTD srl isn't recognised anymore. OK, but at least you could explain that a little bit better.
So now, the question is for Tom: what could instr. and trainer of IANTD Srl do? Renew at IANTD Hq? What's about italians manuals etc, it isn't that easy, unfortunatly...

By the way, I'm not really touched by this problem, not anymore at least...

Hope to hear something from Tom. Tom? Pleaaaase.

To be fair phelian, tom's not really in control of what forum admins do. Maybe you should direct your question of what iantd plans for italy to Iantd directly, since not everyone reads a forum.

I saw that Nad, my point was its like complaining that someone scribbled off your complaint from a toilet wall. Its outside the control of IANTD and not likely to be noticed by them.
