If you search Rebreather World for this you'll find its been discussed at length with answers varying from not at all to weeks. If you do keep it you MUST leave the scrubber bed undisturbed though!Neil

Everything he said....If you ask the manufacturer(s), as I have, both privately and when they appeared on this forum, they did not answer! I have a suspicion they haven't tested it and don't know what the stuff is good for once it leaves the factory. I leave it maximum 14days if there is usable time remaining on the rebreather manufacturers reccomended duration currently.

![]() ![]() | Re: Sorb-how long do u keep it between dives? i fill my scrubber and use it - if the dive is canned or whatever and i'm not going to be diving during the next few days, i bin it. my life is worth so much more than a scrubber fill. as my instructor said - if in doubt, tip it out.

I keep partially used sorb in its cartridges (i.e. either an axial or radial) hermetically sealed inside a plastic bag. No time limit, but it is rare that I go longer than a couple weeks without a dive. Diving here is easy and warm. |

I was told that my scrubber was good for 3 hours, or one week, whichever came first. I've taken to storing the scrubber itself in an empty bucket of scrubber material between dives- as long as the lid with the O ring is on tight, it seems to work well. |

Uhh...... <never take this bad advice>..... ![]() I dove a LAR-V scrubber that had been packed and used for an hour *three years before* that had just been tossed into the metal shipping trunk for the LAR-V and left there. Put another 3 hours on it.... dumped it when I got bored of diving it. Bad idea as a habit, but methinks that the truth is that it's not all that big a deal to keep one bagged until the next dive "sometime soon". Dave
