FreePlanner - Now With GF/Buhlmann

I just can't keep my fingers off of the keyboard!

FreePlanner now includes GF/Buhlmann. FreePlanner still only supports OC, but now that I've gotten most of what I wanted to do done with OC, it's on to the world of CC.

Now you can compute schedules with both VPMB and GF/Buhlmann and also compare them side by side.

There's also a tissue analysis window for VPMB - GF to follow shortly.

Available for Mac Intel and Windows at freeplanner - get it here..

There is yet another new version on the website; it fixes a couple of international issues that cropped up.

It looks like you still have some imperial-metric conversion problems.
Dive 65 m-25 min with EANx50 and Oxygen for deco gives the following dive profile. MSW is used for the profile and FSW is used for deco. (Double checked all places I could find a unit setting. All set to MSW/metric.

edit: Though following the instructions on the website, correct installation of FreePlanner was somehow messed up by VISTA. Full rights to the target install map before installing the program solved this problem. My mistake. Really like the program now. Very nice to see how GF and VPM match up and where they differ. Good job!

Hello and Happy New Year to everyone.

I will be adding the capability to load dives from various dive computers and analyze them within FreePlanner. FreePlanner will calculate the deco ceiling and tissue loading using both VPMB and GF/Buhlmann. The analysis code is completed - just need to figure out the best way to load dive data.

So, does everyone's dive computer create uploads formatted for DAN or are there custom formats? If so, what computer is being used most that doesn't use DAN. I have only used the Duo and VR3's so I have a very limited experience in this area.

Thanks in advance for the information - and send all the dive files you want!
