just a thought!

Dave
Dave see post #52..

Same on same is not mandatory (because of CE) but recommended when allowed.. But the instructor must still be able to dive the unit to maintain proficiency - hecnce the "ownership" requirement.. If the instructor doesnt dive the righ they should not teach the rig..

/Jonny
if its one person I'll take the $300 because I enjoy teaching.. If a group comes to me, there are additional charges (discount varies by program and location) so the overall "daily" rate is less than 300/perday/student.. If I fill the class myself its per day per student..

Agree totally! This is the only reason a lot of people don't exchange and buy other units. It is slowing down the rebreather manufacturer's market.
I'm afraid you're all to much right about this. I fancy an mccr rEvo but will stick to my Sport Kiss.

I won't. I started out with this post... It wouldn't add to my credibility if I would, would it?

All the joking aside I still haven't understood why manufactures let agencies slow down the upgrade path for existing divers. I guess this is one of my "dense" days...

Here are two good reasons...

1) For the most part when it comes to new units there is a backlog of demand. The net is that there are no new Inspirations/Evolutions, Optimas, Sentinals and or HH CCRs sitting on the shelf waiting for new owners.

2) The MFG's feel it's more important to have proprerly trained divers using their units.

Dive Safe...
