If you have had good experience with an instructor and can make a recommendation please pm me or reply here. Many thanks.

I would also recommend Dave Cooper.........

Can offer training through TDI - IANTD - PSA.

A thoroughly nice chap..........
A bit late to the game, but another vote for Dave Cooper.

Very experienced instructor (been diving Rebreather's for over half his life... ), very straight forward guy and makes you work for your cert so don't expect an easy ride.
The upside to that though is that you'll know your stuff by the end of the course.

Oh and the bonus is that he's a really really good laugh.

Just try and keep him away from KFC or McD's.....

Another vote for Gary Fox - Cornwall, he does TDI and ANDI. Did the MOD1 with him.
Heard good reports about Richie too.

Re: Seeking Normoxic training in the UK

did my mod 2 with richie in plymouth in April this year. Would certainly recommend him, apart from being an excellent instructor the open water dives were also great.

Many thanks for all the replies. Its excellent to get such good feedback (both on and off the forum). I will follow up the recommendations and look forward to getting some excellent instruction and mix dives in the coming months.
Cheers all.

Re: Seeking Normoxic training in the UK

Just an update - I did my Mod 2 and Mod 3 back-to-back with Richie Stevenson in November 2007. The courses and diving were incredibly good, and Richie was a great instructor and companion during the trip. Highly recommended and a fountain of knowledge.

We did the course in Lanzarote which provided cheap flights, good accommodation, shore dives/no boats to as deep as you like (we 'could' have gone to 100m+ by swimming for another 5 minutes from the shore) - and superb facilities from Simon at The Dive Shop in Matagorda diving lanzarote dive shop lanzarote

I still feel like there is more to learn, but I think its all about getting the dives in now.

There is a write up on my club's website here: CPA News | Jerram Mod2 and Mod3 Inspiration Lanzarote

Cheers, Dave.
