| Using a mix.... A slightly rhetorical question...? Why if I am trimix level 2 qualified on 0pen circuit must I be limited from using normoxic mixes up to my level one CCR qualification ie.45m. I am now in a position of either using a diluent I am not technically qualified to use and risk having an insurance company challenge things if the worst should happen. Or when diving at 45 meters having a level of narcosis that isnt as safe as it could be using a normixic trimix and therefore limiting the END to 30 meters. I actually cant think of a good diving reason and I am not a complete numpty. Does anybody know any good reason other than? creating a market for a training agency??? I apologise if this has been brought up before? Ian

If you want to be insured read the insurance companies small print. You need no qualifications to dive anything in the UK.
