CCR Demos in NY area

Hi all,

I am looking to get some demos on as many CCRs as possible... please let me know if there are any free/cheap demos goingo n in NY/NJ area.

There is supposed to be a rebreather social @ Dutch Springs coming up (June I believe) where you might be able to test out some units.

Also Monday July 23rd, Pete Nawrocky from Dive Rite will be demoing the Optima at Northeast Scuba Supply in Norristown, PA (about 30 min. northwest of Phila.) in their classroom and then the pool. Here is the link back to the NESS post:

Come on JC you should know I try to avoid interpesronal contact as much as possible and prefer to only "interact" with people on the internet.

Is that the weekend you are doing the Optima training? Shame you wont have it for NC.

Was just on the dutchsprings website and I noticed that in the small print it says "This is not a DEMO, however manufacturers will keep you informed of scheduled events."

So I take it "this is not a DEMO" we will not be able to try out. Anyone know anything about this??
Going to send an email to get an answer but would like to try a couple out.

You're right, my bad - I forgot. No, the social is the weekend after our Optima training, so we will be able to get more hours on the unit in rapid succession. And tell me about it for the NC trip - that was planned well in advance, unfortunately. We're thinking about going down again later this summer to repeat it on CC if you're interested ... and would just pull the trigger on your meg already!

And JFM no, this is not a demo as I understand it - just being set up to get all of the Rebreather divers in the area (no matter the unit) to come out, dive, compare notes, etc.
