I've carried mine into many quarries, dive boats, resorts, etc., and have *never* been questioned. Naturally the Little Diveshop of Horrors is the "US Headquarters" for this fine organization....

(Didi Wagner runs the "Main Office" from Switzerland)

I think, actually, that I'll set up another C-Card organization for "special" rigs. RSDAS has worked well, but is Russian-Chassis specific.

Dave,

I need you to put me in touch with Didi so that I can get my IDA-59 cert .

You got a PM, too.

I smile every moment of the day...

OK, I spent the better part of the afternoon thinking about the new C-Card organization, and wanted to let everyone know that we are not going to take second place to anyone. In order to differentiate our training from other organizations, we will use our own list of acronyms "all our own"....

The rebreather training program I envision is called "Special High Intensity Training" (S.H.I.T.). Our instructors will be known as "Master Of Rebreather Education" or "M.O.R.E.'s), so are technically known as "M.O.R.E./S.H.I.T".

If you want to be placed on our mailing list, send a PM and I'll add you to the S.H.I.T. List.

Right now I am writing the "Basic Understanding Lecture List" of reading materials, which will naturally be known under the acronym "B.U.L.L./S.H.I.T". Thse will be extracted from the best posts on Scuba-Bored as well as other sources.

Naturally, being the founder and plenipotentiary dictator of S.H.I.T., my title will be "Boss in General, Special High Intensity Training, or "B.I.G S.H.I.T".....

Smile folks: Life is sweet. Taste it!

I'll look for the PM, be up next week launching EXPLORER, and we can do your checkout dive for the RSDAS IDA-59 card. Bring a photo (really!)

All kidding aside, we really do perform certification dives and do issue cards. Look here and go down to the "Training/Manuals/Purchase" link at the bottom left. The training we do is no-nonsense, and we do have our standards. And, we can claim a perfect safety record among the divers we have trained!

Who sets up the certs for Megs Inspos Kisses...Who make your homebuilt...I wouldn't worry about "inflicting" liability on boat owners etc I don't think it would stick if you died, after all you built the piece of s**t.
The Orca is CCRed, pix and full report soon. Its neet!
Sorry, to translate:

Who establishes the certification standards and procedures for units: the manufacturer. If you made the unit then you should be able to certify yourself.
If you manage to kill yourself, it would be hard for anyone to make a case that anyone else is liable because you chose to make and dive the unit. This may only be a problem in the US.
I have an AKA-64, which I converted to mCCR, and I will put pictures here soon.
I have one couch dive, while watching a cubs game which they won...

I'm planning on being certified by the Big International Training Enterprise, Money Extraction. Its not DIR or associated with Pay And Dive Immediately.

You actually have a IDA-64, and RSDAS already issues certs on it. PM me.

I'm surprised that you would consider using B.I.T.E. M.E. for your certification when we already have a world established haven for Soviet emigree's in Switzerland...
