Crossover Training

Can anybody give me a ball park figure as to how much crossover training from one Rebreather to another will run me?

Scott, from the IANTD Inst manual:

2. To qualify from one Closed Circuit Rebreather to another Closed Circuit Rebreather, a diver must have 12 CCR dives of which one must have been within 45 days of the program on the new CCR and must complete a minimum of 200 minutes of in-water training with at least 2 OW dives.

The cost and the duration, ( standards state "at least 2 dives") will be determined by the instructor.

I agree as well, especially that Scott dives/dived the Inspiration.

Practically, you need about 10 mins of explanation of the differences and where the switches are...

Thats the most sensible thing I've seen written from an instructor in a long time!
However, I'm not tight. I would probably pay for 15mins and maybe first shout on the beer.

I was discussing with a TDI Instructor Trainer today about trimix & during the course of conversation he said that TDI is changing mod 1 to be a generic course to cover any rebreather .I don't have enough experience to comment on if this is good or bad but thought I'd pass it along .

but you would still need the manufacturer to accept this which at this time, I doubt it would fly..
