| Re: Kiss dive computer? It's good to hear such good things about the Shearwater with Bruce being in Canada it is a cost savings as well for me. Funny no one has anything bad to say about the shearwater. ![]() |

| Curmudgeon Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Kiss dive computer? another vote for Bruce and the SW. As soon as any potential problem is found, Bruce has come forward with solutions, and offered fixes. He has been as upfront and helpful as could be. and while I have not yet sent mine in for the fixes I will be shortly. Excellent support

| Re: Kiss dive computer? So one question how do you calibrate the shearwater? You flush your loop with O2 (several times on the surface) then select the calibrate option from the menu and it calibrates to 98%. The Shearwater HUD has it's own computer and calibrates independently.

| Re: Kiss dive computer? I'm new to rebreathers. We currently use a Kiss Classic for myself and the Sport for my son. I am waiting for the Heliox system at the end of this year for my Classic. Currently, we both use the Kiss displays, which are incredibly cumbersome. We use our Cochran Gemini computers, hooked up to the first stage of the oxygen bottle, which gives us quite a bit of info including tank pressure. That being said, and keeping the Cochran on the Sport, what is the simplest cleanest replacement for the PO2 displays? I have sent two emails to SubSea with zero response, which isn't very impressive and another post mentions the Sartek?? I'm not interested in purchasing a VR3 or Explorer when we have the Cochrans and I just spent 11K on two rebreather units; we're only trying to minimize the size of the PO2 displays, keeping simplicity of installation in mind. Despite your not receiving response, the SubSea is plug 'n' play. I heard Jason is running around like a headless chook*, as his system is proving very popular. From what is said and person observation Jason is as honest as the day is long. Give him a chance to get back to you. There have been a few mods for classic KISS setups, but each and every person I've heard from and seen using this system are very, very happy. Shearwater is the other system to look at. Again Bruce is another straight shooter and his product is excellent. As my bank balance recovers and goes blacker, I'll be looking at both of these. Today, I'd get a Sub Sea system and pop a shearwater computer on it. HUD to know all is cool on the dive, Shearwater to run deco, and the SebSea display as a redundant display. *a very busy person, in the nicest possible way.
