Re: Oxyguage and MCCR Dolphin

You have the HS Explorer 3 cells PpO2 meter (http://www.hs-eng.com/).
I used it for a while then went to the rEvodream.

Re: Oxyguage and MCCR Dolphin

There is also the Shearwater.

It can display 3 external cells and has two modes:
i)CC mode will use the 3 cells to calculate the average PPO2 (with voting logic on one cell is out compred to the other two) for constant PPO2 no stop / deco calculations.
ii) OC mode where you manually chose the gas mix

Works wih Nitrox and Trimix.

Re: Oxyguage and MCCR Dolphin

As mentioned, Draeger's Oxygauge has a bad habit of flooding and it is very expensive. So I made my own. www.airheadsscuba.com/po2gauge.html

The whole thing only cost me about $250.00 and most of a day tinkering. It works great.

You may also want to visit www.ppo2.com

Re: Oxyguage and MCCR Dolphin

I have been looking at Marc Munro's DIY kits, and his single cell PPO2 monitor may be a good option for a redundant display while I'm still in SCR, the first being a VR3. If I ever convert my Dolphin to mCCR, his three cell design would be better. However, I'm still weighing the costs of buying a housing for the gauge, end caps, the cell housing, cabling, assembling everything, or simply picking it up a completed unit from Martin. Has anyone found that there was a significant savings in building it yourself over buying it from Martin?

I saw this Oxy-gauge hack a while back on RBW I'm sure many of you have seen it already. it can cut down on the alarms or if you like the beepy things add some more!! but your still left with the other assortment of problems the Oxy-gauge has leaky, bulky, discontinued.....
set at your own risk!!

http://www.rebreatherworld.com/semi-...=oxyguage+hack

I do notice a lot of lag between the reading of the cells before it registers on the wrist computer. I'm going to try this out today on my unit
setting max p02 to 1.4 then I have a bit of time to respondb4 1.6 po2 is reached after an alarm if/when the loop has a spike... I do cheat the orifices so the 1.4 set point is a lot more comforting than
ALARM---->(look Down)1.6 Oh S#@!
