Is it possible to connect a fouth O2 sensor on the hammerhead electronic of the optima ?

refer to page 8 of the O2Ptima manual.. you can install a 4th cell for use with an external computer (you need the cable as well)

They are rated for 3 hours. Before there was an official rating I had put close to 5 hours on one but I do not recommend pushing beyond the manufactures rating. Remember CO2 is a silent killer so don’t push it.

There is no SS body handset..

The handsets are hard annodized aluminium with a SS bezel, the prior handsets were nikle plated aluminum with a SS bezel (early units were shipped with an al bezel but were replaced foc)..


The switch from nikle to annodizing was because finding a reliable nikle plater seems to be hard.. The earliest units (prototypes) in nkle are still perfect, unfortunately some of the first release run had problems with the nikle plating..

Ones that were obviously a problem with the plating were replaced foc on a case by case basis..

Hello joe,

I just bought an second hand optima , it 's from december 2005 and i wait for it in a few day.
The body hanset are nicke plated, is this necessary to update them ?
I think i misunderstood the word bezel, could you explain me what is it SVP ?
