It is just the cases, and possibly the bezels (face cover plate), that have changed depending on which sets you have.I just bought an second hand optima , it 's from december 2005 and i wait for it in a few day. The body hanset are nicke plated, is this necessary to update them ? I think i misunderstood the word bezel, could you explain me what is it SVP ? Thanks Lilian The nickel plated sets worked fine in fresh water. However, many of them would start to lose the nickel plating in salt water, and they looked very ugly in short order if you dived them in salt. The earlier nickel plated version also had a bezel that was aluminum, and this was causing problems in salt water, causing the units not to go to sleep and some other issues. So, the first change, prior to changing to the anodized aluminum cases, was just to change the bezel to steel. There is also one recent change. Not sure if this is out already or will be coming shortly. It is another change to the bezel. It turned out that the depth sensor hole was fairly easy to clog with debris, resulting in the computers not sensing that the diver was at the surface, and therefore refusing to shut down or go to sleep. A design change has taken care of this last issue. I am not the expert on the Hammerheads, but I have lived and learned a bit since I was a purchaser of the early hand sets. Fortunately, things got fixed, and my sets are now working fine (with over 40 hours on them, virtually all in salt water). SVP? Not sure what you mean. Then you follow up with Flemisch, "Aantwaerps", Dutch, German, Italian and Spanisch. I still need to learn Italian and Spanisch. ![]() BTW. I'm from Antwerp. One of the offical languages in Belgium is Dutch, but in Flanders (our part of Belgium) we speek Flemisch. Last edited by PCDiver : 7th September 2006 at 07:49. |

It is just the cases, and possibly the bezels (face cover plate), that have changed depending on which sets you have. as usual, such an open and helpful admission of issues without trying too hard to protect the model you own... maybe i'm just tired and it's late, but really, i wish more folks would be so objective and forth comming about their particular model, may you be an example... it adds to one's credibility and it really helps people have access to useful infromation. The nickel plated sets worked fine in fresh water.
