| Disassembling a Fischer connector Is it possible to disassemble a fischer connect? My VR3 is not getting any readings from the O2 cell. I replaced the molex connector but I still can not get any kind of reading so I assume the issue is in the head of the connector. I pull the back cap off and removed the retaining ring but I cant see to get any farther. For what its worth, there was a pile of corrosion under the cap and on the retaining ring . |

| Customise Me! Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Disassembling a Fischer connector I do not know if there are different designs available, but you unscrew the "cap" at the backend of the connector and then simply pull the outer layer of the connector off to expose the inner part. If I am not making myself clear, then tell me, and I will (try to) post some images. Morten Quote: (Originally Posted by Freak214) Is it possible to disassemble a fischer connect? Be vary careful when you do this.... It very easy to twist the wires...If I am not making myself clear, then tell me, and I will (try to) post some images. Morten Dive Safe. Mark |

| Re: Disassembling a Fischer connector I'm not too concerned about the cable... I have no continuity on the + pin so I know the connector/wire is corroded or otherwise broken. Now its become personal and I want the damn thing apart that and it would be nice to see if there is any chance for repair using the existing connector. Thanks JohnL |

| Re: Disassembling a Fischer connector Once you unscrew the retaining ring at the back you should be able to push the section with the pins back through and out of the body. Here's a picture of one disassembled; note that it doesn't have a seal kit.
