Its the cold thats really beating up the alkaline cells.. You will get better performance out of lithium 1.5v aa cells or of course LS14500 saft cells.. avoid the LST cells if possible..

Re: HammerHead Revisions and Issues

Hi all,

Sorry to high jack the thread BUT - I've just taken delivery of a 4th cell cable for VR3 to plug into my Inspo Classic HH. ID=s there supposed to be an "O" ring between the swagelock bulkhead fitting and the head or simply just ceelon tape only? Appreciate any advice, cheers....

the fitting is a tapered fitting.. just use some teflon tape.. DO NOT overtighten it, otherwise you will not be able to remove it and replace it with a plug at a later time as you will have used all the threads....

Re: HammerHead Revisions and Issues

Hi,

A quick question: does changing the battery on the metal handset (battery dead during a dive) implies a loss of cell calibration?
According to the manual, no but I'd like to be sure.
Thank you very much.

Thank you very much.

most settings on the HH are non volitile.. certain objects like the current setpoint, selected gas ect or any "run time timers" get reset..

Re: HammerHead Revisions and Issues

Solenoid diagnosis?

Any help gratefully received - my HH Inspo appears to have a faulty solenoid. I.e I don't hear the solenoid firing . I have taken the head off, connected primary and turned on - I assume the primary will trigger the solenoid? If so, nothing happens. Can anyone advise what diagnosis (apart from "send the head back") I can do locally to ascertain if the solenoid is faulty or of there is an obscure setting not noted in the manual?

I've tried both Standard and Juergensen settings. I last dived the unit one month ago with no problems then.

Cheers

Re: HammerHead Revisions and Issues

Hi Osiris, Make sure it isn't in Open Circuit Mode. Disconnect the Sensors from the Banana Block - the Solenoid should start firing immediately, regardless of the mode it is in. If it doesn't, then you may need a new solenoid. Let me know what you find out Kevin Juergensen Juergensen Marine, Inc.
