Re: analytical industries sensors

I used them in my KISS for the last year and a half or so. No problems at all. I recently replaced them with Teledyne's to see if there's any noticeable difference but I have yet to see anything appreciable after a handful of dives on them.

Re: analytical industries sensors

I've used them in my Inspiration alongside the factory sensors and they track evenly. I've had one in for a year now with no problems.

Re: analytical industries sensors

100% good opinion but so few users here ( and no response on two french forums ) .
The prices seems good, and tecme have a good delivery service, so think ill soon try them.

Thanks for your help ( but some other thought would be great )

Re: analytical industries sensors

I'll add one more opinion. I used them in a homebuilt O2 analyzer (one done with the proper buffering circuitry, not just a quick "hack-off-the-resistor-on-the-meter" type). It tracked extremely well, was very stable, and had a great response time.

The only thing that it did not do for me was live up to the lifetime expectations that they claimed. The cell I used claimed a three to five year life, in room air, and I got about a year out of it, which disappointed me.

On the other hand, that's as long as I was getting from the Teledynes, so I can't really complain too much. I'd use them again in that application.

Some limited experience
I have four of them in use right now. They work, but...

Two of them have dropped from starting at ~ 9,5mV (in air, 1atm) down to about 8 mV after only a few months. The 8 mV ones are still linear, testing them in my small pot they track well up to Po2 ~2.0 (2bar 100% O2). But the 8mV output is to low for some displays (Jetsam, HH built in mV limit). On my Jetsam displays its not possible to get a good ("true") cal with this low mV input.

I have had R22 Teledyne and "rebranded" medical O2 sensors before and they didn't drop in mV (1 atm, air mV) as soon and when they dropped it was on the very end of their life.

I saw exactly the same thing.. I tried some AI cells in my HH Plus my Explorer(2 cells along sde 2 Teledyne cells) a while back, they started out around 9mv in air but within about 3 months they were down to ~8.3 mv in air and were no longer usable on the HH..

So far my shortest failure (personally) on standard R22d is 7 months, I always change my cells at 1 year so I cant giver performance beyond that..

Re: analytical industries sensors

hello, my shortest time on a R22D was ... yesterday
I opened the plastic bag, mesured the cell and got 165 mV!!
and after an hour it was still over 160mV :-)

I also do find lots of cells at 13.4-13.9 mV 8 in a batch of 100 parts

regards
paul

Re: analytical industries sensors

Albeit my history w/ O2 sensors is admittidly short, I've had a rather poor experience thus far w/ teledyne. I just finished my Meg training. At the begining of training I put brand new Tdynes in. One immediately was running 8.0 in ambient. By the second day it was running 7.2mv and on the third day I replaced it as it was in the low 6's (6.1 I think). Perhaps I was unlucky. Time will tell.
