| Replacement O2 Cells Hi all, This isn't strictly speaking a Rebreather question, however as heavy users of O2 cells I'm hoping you'll all have an opinion to share with me. I have an Analox Mini O2 DII tester which uses an analox 9212-5D O2 cell. In trying to get a replacement cell, I've found that there's a Vandagraph O2 cell R33VAN which I think is compatible at £45, and an Omnisensor D-08 cell which they say is also compatible at £48. Both are supposedly the same as the analox cell in my unit. I've just rung Analox, and they want £85 (ie near enough double the price of the other two). I mentioned these other two "replacements" which were much cheaper, and he basically said, they aren't compatible, that they've asked Vanagraph not to say they are, and that the outputs from these cells would not be reliable as the Analox software/hardware was only to be used with Analox cells. Is he right, has anyone had first hand experience of this, am I spending £50 on something that is going to give incorrect readings. You guys must have to make this decision each time you replace your cells, do you go for one which is "recommended" for your unit, or do you go for the best "value for money" you can find. Thanks peeps Darren |

| Re: Replacement O2 Cells As far as I know, Vandagraph cells are made by Teledyne. Try asking Patrick at Oxycheq, I've always found him very helpful. The Omni sensors are actually IT/Wismar sensors from Germany, have a search on here as to their reliability (or lack of). £48 seems quite expensive, their cells are usually much ceaper than everyone else's. Is that direct through Omni?
