Cheers Rich Only problem is he can't ship me a shearwater until early June. Too late for my France trip, but should have for St kilda at the end of June. |

Yea, I'm hearing the same thing. As I expect to order the complete package just as soon as the crash test dummies Only problem is he can't ship me a shearwater until early June. Too late for my France trip, but should have for St kilda at the end of June. I mean beta testers are done with it.

Yup. good idea. I dont know why they dont do this at the factory. After ripping all my displays from the cable THREE TIMES (!) I put a piece of cave line between the displays and the box, shorter than the cable, as you describe.I also have a piece of velcro round the drysuit arm with a little bit of velcro on the end so I can make sure the cables stay close to the body. The first time was jumping off the boat with the cables caught on the dive boat ladder complete flood of all three displays The second time was getting up with all my kit on and the displays caught in the bench The third time was the same.Andy

| RBW Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Electronics for the KISS I guess you can be worried about the cable getting chopped but if that happens, SCR and bail out. But the likley hood of that happening are pretty low and IMHO, the added hastle of more monitors isn't justified. Shearwater, tables and adequate bail out is good enough for me.... |

As usual don't have a digi-cam handy... my "old" original display battery PCB's where hard wired/soldered into the cables, the "new" one I just got from Jetsam has a jumper style plug on the back so you can unplug and remove the PCB's entirely. Should make battery change easier as no need to twist the display electronics around on its wires.Quote: (Originally Posted by Andy M) What other changes have been made to the SK? Yeah, that seemed like a good idea- will incorporate that into my pod cover... pending... still! BEN
