Too many whinges aswell. There was some good tips on there... ![]() I expected the manufacturers forum to be an exchange of information between users-users and users-manufacturer. Didnt happen that way though did it. I think thats why it went quiet, it was more efficient to vent on YD or other places where you get heard and responded to. Even if it is just with your peers. My tuppence. Brent.

I've got better things to do if I'm forced on OC. If you leave the gases on, the look ahead is fooked. No answer. Fook'em. Brent.

That level of customer service inspired my current interest in the HS Explorer... I remember from a good friend who had a lot of involvement in the early ones where failures were expected. That was many years ago, and I never looked again. Quietly prejudiced for a while. But to be honest, I've never used one. Dont have anyone local I could badger to try a newer one out. If I get to try one out, I might make a choice myself. Keeping an open mind. Brent.

Turning them on as you go wouldnt give you the look ahead deco information though. You need the gases turned on for that. Most of us have back up tables, but.......i admitt that being able to swith to a set of OC gases would be nice ![]() Ie gas set A as CC and gas set B as OC bailout Brent. I remember a dive on the Zenobia, we racked up about 35 mins of hang time by the time we finished. One of the deep stops was a meter below the thermocline and I was freezing my bollox off by then. That pissed me off aswell.

Hahahahahahahaha!i admitt that being able to swith to a set of OC gases would be nice ![]() Ie gas set A as CC and gas set B as OC bailout Have you seen the number of tins I used to dive with? I'd need to be a piano player to get that lot switched on at the right time! On a serious note, offboard bailout cocks that theory up. I have managed to do it on a dive but it's a PITA I could have done without. The Explorer has a simpler way of doing it IIRC. Don't get me wrong, I love my VR£. It just could be a lot better... ![]()

| Re: VR3 Forums removed? I'd like the idea of being able to label gases as bailout, even if its just air dil, and having a read-out, eg bottom right, showing what your TTS will be if you bail out at that moment, in addition to the TTS usually shown. Neil
