Transfering data from VR3 to PC

Iv'e just reinstalled my laptop and the Prodive software.
Suddenly my VR3 will not transfer the dive profile to my computer anymore.
The dive transfers correctly but the profile and depht is missing.

I suspect this is caused by the fact that I have not entered the software version of my VR3 in the Prodive software.
I cant remember how I did it...
My VR3 is V3.03aC

Anyone...?

Re: Transfering data from VR3 to PC

Hi,

Check that the VR3 display still shows FULL=0 in the PC Link screen, as if you change it by mistake (like I did ) it still downloads the data but you get a flat profile!

If it says Full=1, then change it back by a short press of both buttons.

Hope that helps,

Neil

Re: Transfering data from VR3 to PC

It has been set to:
Full=0
IR=0
the whole time...

I'm downloading through a cable. That is the correct settings, right?

Re: Transfering data from VR3 to PC

Yup those settings look correct to me, so if you've also put the software version into the VFIRM.dat file then I've runout of ideas I'm afraid

I'm not sure - but from a certain VR3 code version onwards you also needed to register the VR3 S/N with the software. Prior to that there was no need and the simple adding of the software version in VFIRM.dat did the trick. Also - check out Delta-P's Forum - there is some good info on this subject.

Thumbs up Re: Transfering data from VR3 to PC

I had the same problem but now all of them are solved (thanks to Kjetil).

I have Prodive version 1.3.0.1
Update on VR3 homepage is for 1.2.0.7
(If I remember correctly, Kjetil has 1.3.0.3)

My VR3 Software version: V5.03aC

Procedure:
  1. Replace Prodive 1.3.0.1 with Prodive 1.3.3.rc1 (1.3.0.3) by replacing the exe-file
  2. Rename VRFirm1.dat to VRFirm.dat (in Prodive folder)
  3. Added the following line in VRFirm.dat (using Notepad) (omitting the final C as stated in the VR3 FAQ)
    V5.03a,2
  4. Transfer settings: FULL=0 IR=0
By the way:
Here is the link to Prodive Support by MS System Services Ltd.

This is what VRFirm.dat looks like now after I added the last line:
//VR Firmware to DDL version mapping
//Auto-created on 23/10/2003 16:23:57
V2.1AXB,2
V5.03a,2

Hope this helps some of you guys out there as well

New link to Prodive:

Find it on MS-Systems

Best regards
