| I have a Vision with trimix software .I am not using trimix but I don't understand GF settings at all ! can somebody please explain ? do I need to worry about these if I'm only diving air dil ? or does it affect deco etc even on that ? Sorry total numpty question ![]()

| Sorry probably didn't make myself very clear I'm that confused .I dont know let alone understand what GF is/are ! Is this something that should have been taught to me on a course ? (which one )

Either way it doesn't matter if it's air dil or T/Mix, the gradient factor is basicly the size of the Inert gas bubble you will have, that will need compreeming/Curing. The percentage is how much you are willing to take on board, and will determine your deep stops, as in when you start to treat the bubble. Perhaps someone else can put it more elequently.. ![]()

I think nigel's link probably explains it a lot better than me your best option is to download a GF based deco program and play with the numbers and observe what happens to the stops www.ddplan.net for example (free)
