Just what options they offer....deco, changing setpoints and algorithm, PC/Mac interface, upgradeable and so on. I'm trying to do it, but it's hard cuz I still don't have experience. Thanks, Rob |

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Rob, why don't you list the categories you would like to have answered. ![]() - Primary Display (wrist/clip, size/lines, info displayed) - Secondary Display (wrist/clip, size/lines, info displayed) - HUD (#LED/colors/info displayed) - Alarms (audible/visual/others, for what, supressable) - Backlight (duration, brightness) - Setpoint Control (adj. Hi/Lo, max/min setpoints, safety parachute, cell tracking, cal O2 %, altitude adjustable) - Setpoint Switch (auto/manual/both) - Dive Info (timer/nitrox/trimix, algorithm, standard/optional, lockout, other ) - Surface Info (log, dive planner, metric/imperial, PIN lockable) - Connectivity (downloadable info, uploadable, interface, OS) - Other Features (what if any, standard/optional) - Batteries (type, location, #, what they power, duration) - Power Switch (hardware/software, auto/manual activation/both) If you can think of anything else you want to know, add it. Or anyone else for that matter. We've got not only users of all three electronics on this board, but also their manufactures reading (on occasionally replying) to it. Expecting one person to know all of them well enough to answer your question is asking a lot, getting details for each unit shouldn't be a problem. ![]()

All the categories you listed are pretty much what I was thinking about. You know how you hit the "compare" button on some sites and a list comes up. I know it's a big task to do, and would require a great deal of time and was wondering if someone created one. I just noticed most of the people here like yourself are well versed in all of them and have done a great deal of research on them all. I will work on putting one together in excel and people can add to it.

Stefan, A couple of years ago IANTD's Nitrox Magazine did a spread sheet with each Rebreather and the options you could get/have on each one. It would be great to do this with the electronic's for a comparison. Maybe we should design one and send it to the Manufactures and ask them to help us fill it out?![]() - Primary Display (wrist/clip, size/lines, info displayed) - Secondary Display (wrist/clip, size/lines, info displayed) - HUD (#LED/colors/info displayed) - Alarms (audible/visual/others, for what, supressable) - Backlight (duration, brightness) - Setpoint Control (adj. | Who loves ya, baby ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: electronics comparisons? Paul, I have the IANTD comparison, it's okay though there are a couple of inaccuracies in it, as well as the subjective ratings I'm not so hot on. Ron Micjan has a pretty good table on his website, better than IANTD's, though not as detailed as I would like. I've made up a table a while ago and filled in the data for the PRISM ... I should give it a shot and mail it to the manufacturers and see if they respond. ![]()

| Re: Electronics Comparisons Here Stephan by your request. HAMMER HEAD by Juergensen Marine - Primary Display (wrist/clip, size/lines, info displayed) wrist or clip, 16 characters by 2 lines, depth, time , po2 (3 cells), setpoint, gas used, TTS, stop time and stop depth.. on the surface SI - Secondary Display (wrist/clip, size/lines, info displayed) wrist or clip, 16 characters by 2 lines, depth (when in meters .1m detail), time , po2 (3 cells)/ averaged po2, setpoint, alarm info, stack time remaining (timer function), Temperature - HUD (#LED/colors/info displayed) 3 colors (1 visible led), po2 or alarm info.. stack time overrun. Tooth extraction device... (Strong Vibrating alarm )- Alarms (audible/visual/others, for what, supressable) visual (leds), vibrating for po2 and stack (stack time is supressable) - Backlight (duration, brightness) user set duration.. adjustable brightness - Setpoint Control (adj. Hi/Lo, max/min setpoints, safety parachute, cell tracking, cal O2 %, altitude adjustable) 5 setpoints (.4 to 1.6), depth& error adaptive, or a user setable error percentage Automatic override at <=0.19 even if not in CC mode 100% o2 and sea level cal (other gases and altitudes using my detailed procedures) - Setpoint Switch (auto/manual/both) Multipoint automatic, or manual switching, plus Solenoid off - Dive Info (timer/nitrox/trimix, algorithm, standard/optional, lockout, other ) timer -yes, nitrox/trimix-yes, GF (5 preprogrammed, 1 user setting), no lockout. 10 mixes can me used for OC or CC. - Surface Info (log, dive planner, metric/imperial, PIN lockable) Pin lockable, last dive depth and time, SI, both metric and imperial, plus current po2 (3 cells) - Connectivity (downloadable info, uploadable, interface, OS) none - Other Features (what if any, standard/optional) computer supports bailout to oc. Stack timer and warning (a timer that tracks loop time at depth until reset) B-S-ometer - tracks deeped dive and total time at depth.. to keep you honest ![]() set point control can be disabled without turning off the electronics ![]() Batteries can be replaced without loosing tissue data by using a user iniated Sleep mode. True power redundancy, both primary and secondary have independent not shared power resources. Primary and secondary are truely redundant, one does not effect the other. Only shared point is oxygen cells which are highly isolated. Preferred setup by most experienced CCR divers, 1 controller, with an independent PO2 display for manual control. - Batteries (type, location, #, what they power, duration) multiple battery types are usable from single 1.5 aa alkaline to 2 x 3.6v 1/2 AA lithium.. variable duration based on battery.. from several hours to several weeks each handset/wrist unit has independent cell in the handset/wrist unit located outside of the loop. - Power Switch (hardware/software, auto/manual activation/both) NONE - wet switch for safety, will turn on on any button press as well has additional safety override if wet switch fails in that unit will be activeated should the diver decend.
