HS Explorer DiveHistory Viewer

I have put together an HS Explorer DiveHistory viewer. Well, version 1.0 anyway, so nothing is final...

So far, I have tested it with my own profiles plus a few provided by Simon Lawrence It is built to work on versions 4.03.x or newer, both for "M" and "O" models.

I would really like to get my hands on some more profiles to imporove on the viewer adding a ppO2 chart.

Files with Firmware 4.03x or newer and as complex as possible, with multiple gases and O2 data would be much appreciated.

If you wish to share your profiles, then PM me and I will swap you for the viewer to play with and comment on.

The viewer is written on VB.NET and requires .NET Framework 2.0 to run. N.B.There is no support yet for O2 Cell feeds from sensors, so expect it to simply hang for now.

Thx,
GKAM

Thx Lilian. About the CL, I assume you are talking about the KISS - this remains as you see in the Galery pictures.

Hi Don,

It has not progressed much. The guy that was helping me with the project has had a baby since. We may be able to get the time to finish it during summer.

Cheers,
George

That really has to be some trick

Are you going to try and incorporate the info I gave you on how to program the computer and pull the variables from it??

If you need anything else from me just let me know...

No, he has! Honest

I never realized babies were so much work! We did however, manage to sit down for a few hours and toy around with the commands. I can now pull all the DiveHistory direct from the HSE.

The steps are:
  • Integrate the direct download capability so the data comes straight from the HSE
  • Find a way to parse a variable format file. The non-ppO2 data output is different than the ones with ppO2 cell feeds. This complicates things
  • Make the viewer save files
  • Then I need to find a workaround to overcome the 25 dive storage limit so that dives do not get overwitten and then number them properly
  • Add a ppO2 chart using the profile data so the user sees how ppO2 varies during the dive either in CC or OC mode
As with most things, the problem is that the viewer in its current state is "good enough". It does the job since it supports my version of firmware and because I do not use the O2 cell input. The only hassle is that I have to do a single "cut and paste" of dive data to a .txt file.
